“Our customers, such as the major oil companies, are increasingly looking to obtain all the products they need from a single source. Up to now, Christian Maurer GmbH, Vienna, above all has been operating very successfully as such a full-service supplier. Through our partic-ipation in Corra we now have the opportunity to expand this business model in central and eastern Europe,” said Thomas Stewing, spokes-man for the Caramba Chemical Group. For the further growth of the company, the focus will be particularly on expansion in the area of our customer target groups. Besides filling stations, the product ranges will increasingly be marketed to the specialist trade as well as to home improvement stores.

The Corra Großhandel Ges. m.b.H supplies its customers –oil com-panies and the specialist trade for automotive supplies – with 5,500 articles from the market segments: toys, soft toys & gift items, office supplies, hygiene articles, automotive accessories and smokers’ needs. The company, founded by Walter Schweiger in 1993, has made it its business to supply customers with everything in a quick and uncomplicated way from a single source. Based on this guiding principle, years of experience and its extensive service offering, Corra has established itself as preferred partner in the Austrian market. With 27 employees, six of whom work in field service, they achieved net sales in fiscal year 2009/10 of around eight million euros.

The Caramba Chemical Group
Besides the Christian Maurer GmbH, Pressbaum (A), the companies Caramba Chemie GmbH & Co. KG, Duisburg (D), Tegee-Chemie Bremen GmbH, Bremen (D) and Wigo Chemie GmbH, Bad Kreuznach (D) operate under the umbrella of the Caramba Chemical Group. More than 350 employees at ten locations in Europe develop, produce and sell chemical products and services in the field of cleaning, care and maintenance from a single source. In fiscal year 2009/10 they achieved net sales of over 70 million euros.
